Fadi Mohamed took this video of my launch at Hammondsport (BATH, NEW YORK) on Labor Day Weekend... What a gorgeous day. I wound up flying for over 3 hours. Fadi graciously sent it to me yesterday...
Hi Linda, Allow me a 'petit' correction in your TO procedure. You open the nose angle to early. There's to much wind so no problem... in nil wind you should have problems. Tip: Give 2(TWO) walking steps before the strong run(in all Take offs). This stops the nose to climb up.The acceleration curve is less steep. Blue Skies! Andre, Portugal
yes, you are absolutely correct. and as it happens, i did get bitten on a recent launch in light wind by popping the nose. really good advice you give. i've been too lucky too long. time to correct my poor launch technique. glad to know you are reading my blog in portugal!
